Eyrarrósarætt er ætt með um 17 ættkvíslir, og um 650 tegundir. Hún er útbreidd um allan heim, frá heimskautasvæðum til hitabeltis.

Á Íslandi eru þekktastar eyrarrós, sigurskúfur og síkjamari, auk dúnurta. Fuchsia eru einnig algengar stofuplöntur.
