Smáeski (fræðiheiti: Equisetum scirpoides Michx. er smávaxnasta tegund elftinga (15 til 30 sm) og er útbreiðslan í kring um heimskautsbaug. Það er stundum notað sem gróður í kring um tjarnir. E. scirpoides var uppgötvuð og lýst af franska grasafræðingnum André Michaux.
