Have you seen this website: Beygingarlýsing íslensks nútímamáls? Try writing skoskur into the search engine, it should give you a list of all possible forms (cases, gender, inflection and degrees of comparison). A significant part of your sentences are not even understandable so that to clean up the articles we have to go to the English Wikipedia and try to figure out what you were probably trying to say. You are at it again, writing articles which require so heavy clean up that their value is very questionable. Would you please consider the suggestion of Friðrik above, write the articles in your namespace and then if somebody comes along and cleans them up they can move them to their proper place. Also, may I offer an Icelandic language tip of the day. Unlike English, the word order in Icelandic is such that the verb always comes in the second place in the sentence. So we do not say "Á ensku sýslurnar eru kallað counties" but rather "Á ensku eru sýslurnar kallaðar counties." The first piece of this sentence is the clause "Á ensku" so the next one had better be the verb. Thus "Því að breska heimsveldið og Bandaríkin enska er talað á heimsvísu." should be "Vegna breska heimsveldisins og Bandaríkjanna er enska töluð á heimsvísu". Here the first part of the sentence is the clause "Vegna breska heimsveldisins og Bandaríkjanna" and the verb comes in second place. Stefán 15. desember 2007 kl. 22:08 (UTC)

Sorry that my contributions are so poor, I don’t mean to cause any harm, but it seems that there is so little input into this Wikipedia that something needs to be done in order for any significant progress to be made. The kind of thing I'm talking about is the lack of key articles, e.g Norður-Írland which I only just recently created. I understand that it is a lot of work to cleanup my more than shoddy Icelandic, but I'm off to university next year where I will take up a study of Icelandic proper. I came here to ask you to put Notandi:Maxí/Listi yfir einvalda Englands in the main namespace (perhaps with a cleanup notice) since although it's still mostly in English I don't think there's any reason we can't have incomplete works in progress in the main namespace.

I haven't reviewed all your contributions but I don't think we should be discouraging all contributions from users such as yourself who aren't enganging in vandalism and are trying to make useful contributions. Thanks for your message. I sincerely apologize because my knowledge of Icelandic is close to nothing and even if I tried to check if the automated sentences made sense comparing with some other articles here (and even taking real hard time trying to find the right solution to "Indian" which I finally seemed to understand was (close to) "indversk") I understand there were too many mistakes and that the whole thing was probably difficult to understand, if not undecipherable. I also understand it is easier to erase the whole thing than spending an enormous amount of time fixing these three lines and you probably have enough work here; I really know how hard it is to work on small languages though it is for me a real pain to erase a contribution (even an automated one, the person at least has taken the pain to do this work...) when you do not have too many articles (Occitan has a bit more than here but well the quality is awful...) but well we all have different opinions on many matters and this is something I respect... Það átti ég ekki við. Mér fundust sumar þýðingar þínar m.a.s. skrýtnar, en eftir að hafa googlað smá komst ég að þeirri því að þú hefur greinilega kynnt þér málin vel. Ég skil þig. Þetta er mikið og áhugavert mál núna hér á landi. Hvað varðar þýðingarnar: já, sumar þeirra eru soldið skrýtnar en ég byggði þær að mestu leyti á orðum á lista yfir gjaldmiðlaheiti frá Árnastofnuninni. Það voru nokkur heiti sem voru ekki til á listanum og þá bjó ég þau til, t.d. vatíkönsk líra. An important message about renaming users

Dear Maxí, My aplogies for writing in English. Please translate or have this translated for you if it will help. I am cross-posting this message to many places to make sure everyone who is a Wikimedia Foundation project bureaucrat receives a copy. If you are a bureaucrat on more than one wiki, you will receive this message on each wiki where you are a bureaucrat.

As you may have seen, work to perform the Wikimedia cluster-wide single-user login finalisation (SUL finalisation) is taking place. This may potentially effect your work as a local bureaucrat, so please read this message carefully.

Why is this happening? As currently stated at the global rename policy, a global account is a name linked to a single user across all Wikimedia wikis, with local accounts unified into a global collection. Previously, the only way to rename a unified user was to individually rename every local account. This was an extremely difficult and time-consuming task, both for stewards and for the users who had to initiate discussions with local bureaucrats (who perform local renames to date) on every wiki with available bureaucrats. The process took a very long time, since it's difficult to coordinate crosswiki renames among the projects and bureaucrats involved in individual projects.

The SUL finalisation will be taking place in stages, and one of the first stages will be to turn off Special:RenameUser locally. This needs to be done as soon as possible, on advice and input from Stewards and engineers for the project, so that no more accounts that are unified globally are broken by a local rename to usurp the global account name. Once this is done, the process of global name unification can begin. The date that has been chosen to turn off local renaming and shift over to entirely global renaming is 15 September 2014, or three weeks time from now. In place of local renames is a new tool, hosted on Meta, that allows for global renames on all wikis where the name is not registered will be deployed.

Your help is greatly needed during this process and going forward in the future if, as a bureaucrat, renaming users is something that you do or have an interest in participating in. The Wikimedia Stewards have set up, and are in charge of, a new community usergroup on Meta in order to share knowledge and work together on renaming accounts globally, called Global renamers. Stewards are in the process of creating documentation to help global renamers to get used to and learn more about global accounts and tools and Meta in general as well as the application format. As transparency is a valuable thing in our movement, the Stewards would like to have at least a brief public application period. If you are an experienced renamer as a local bureaucrat, the process of becoming a part of this group could take as little as 24 hours to complete. You, as a bureaucrat, should be able to apply for the global renamer right on Meta by the requests for global permissions page on 1 September, a week from now.

In the meantime please update your local page where users request renames to reflect this move to global renaming, and if there is a rename request and the user has edited more than one wiki with the name, please send them to the request page for a global rename.

Stewards greatly appreciate the trust local communities have in you and want to make this transition as easy as possible so that the two groups can start working together to ensure everyone has a unique login identity across Wikimedia projects. Completing this project will allow for long-desired universal tools like a global watchlist, global notifications and many, many more features to make work easier.

Gæðagreinar

Sæll, Hef verið í tengslum við samvinnu mánaðarins að vinna að greinum um íslensk ráðuneyti og íslenska stjórnsýslu. Sumar af þessum greinum eru mjög ólíkar öðrum sem maður er vanur að skrifa og lesa hérna þannig ég setti inn eina sem ég er nokkuð ánægður með sem tillögu að gæðagrein, til þess að setja svona gæðastimpilinn fyrir slíkar greinar (hvort sem það þarf meira til eða hvort hún sé nógu góð eins og er). Help with articles

Currently, I am trying to fix the grammatical errors in articles I have edited. Did I get the edits right on Vefur Karlottu (kvikmynd 1973) and Jói og risaferskjan (kvikmynd)? Like for example, I need to know whether it should Tónlistin í myndinni er eftir or just Tónlistin í myndinni eftir for "The music in the movie is by". I changed Gordy back to what was written before. I also changed it back to Tónlistin í myndinni er eftir for The music in the movie is by. However, is there a word for piglet in Icelandic? It means a baby pig. The version I changed it to just said that Gordy is a pig, not piglet. Help for editing some "knattspyrnu mynd"

Hi Maxi, I'm Nick (Nipas2) italian user trying to fill up some some "kvenna knattspyrnu" pages left abandoned or never edited, as you can see in my edit logs.

Someone is viewing my work and trying to help, even if not dramatically in troubles, but definitely isnt that much concerned in this matter. But I definitely need to talk with someone editing the teams' symbols as most of the 2nd league teams gets growing up (KSI just added the 2. deild) and some symbols are being shown on your official Federation site, while not these pages.

Max Naylor, the Islamist, the Jihadi

Your actions on the Jihad article (https://is.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jihad) have come to my attention. You have not attempted to explain your actions in any truthful way. I urge you to explain to us how and where the text you deleted is wrong. Feel free to give your explanations in here, or in the Jihad talk page (where it belongs). The text you entered in it's place is also a total lying crap. Bring forth references to Quran or hadith where jihad is NOT related to war and terror.

Perhaps, you should pick up the Quran and some tafsir and read it before you give us your explanations. Allah is all about hate and terror, though trying to hide it best he can. Allah states that he is angry with Jews, and Christians are misguided in their beliefs (1:7). Allah specifically states that the Jews are among the worst enemies of Muslims (5:82). Allah curses the Jews and Christians (9:30). He states that the Jews and Christians are among the worst of creatures who “will abide in the fire of Hell” (98:6), while Muslims are the best of creatures (3:110 and 98:7). He forbids Muslims from being friends with Jews and Christians (5:51). Instead, Allah commands Muslims to fight the Jews and Christians until Jews and Christians pay the jizyah (mafia protection tax) with willing submission and feeling themselves subdued (9:29).

Either way mr. Max Naylor, your work on Jihad displays your complete ignorance and naïvety on the subject, or you are a deliberate islamist, lying to and deceiving the public about the nature and fundamentals of the jihad terror. Islam is all about jihad. Islam was created through jihad. Jihad creates murder and terror. In your actions you are complicit to terrorism and murder, lying for and defending the islamic terrorist dogma. I'm sure there are laws about this in Iceland. As a foreign national redising in Iceland you should be investigated for terrorist actions. No excuse Sir Max Naylor, terrorism and murder is a serious matter. How we will see unregistered users

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
