Akureyrarkirkja[breyta frumkóða]

Hello Óli.

As I understood it is now (since 2013) proven that the window is not from a church in the UK. But you reverted my changes, why? – Erik Streb (spjall) 24. ágúst 2018 kl. 23:38 (UTC)

What reference do you have, Erik? And why do you think it is reliable? Do you honestly think Icelanders that follow this issue are wrong about it?

@Berserkur: This is the revealing: https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2014/great-glass-mystery . It is not very popular, because it maybe sells better to say a thing is from a famous place, to make another thing also famous. But at least everybody can tell now, that it was long time believed that. Even the prestur from Akureyrarkirja accepted it. I think there is no problem in accepting this and beginning to change all the articles at least in Wikipedia (with source, of course, that was my fault). All the guide books have it wrong, many websites tell the old story, it will take many, many years to update the believing of this. (Maybe someone could ask the prestur from Akureyrarkirkja if he can confirm that. Contact at http://www.akureyrarkirkja.is/ or if you live in Akureyri just visit the church and ask him. I am not in Akureyri at the moment.) – Erik Streb (spjall) 25. ágúst 2018 kl. 11:55 (UTC)
This is the second time I have reverted this change from you. I have tried to confirm your claim but I have found nothing that supports it. You have to have add a source when you do stuff like this. --Óli Gneisti - lágmenningarfræðingur (spjall) 25. ágúst 2018 kl. 07:54 (UTC)
@Óli: This is the second time? I’ve never edited this page before. Don’t be angry, I only wanted to contribute something.
I changed to english language version twice. I am not angry. Wikipedia needs citations. You can't change something that contradicts the sources that are used in the article. And, also, you can't ask people to go and ask some priest in Akureyri. You added the BBC source and I am happy. --Óli Gneisti - lágmenningarfræðingur (spjall) 25. ágúst 2018 kl. 12:10 (UTC)
I edited the Icelandic version again, just for language and flow. --Óli Gneisti - lágmenningarfræðingur (spjall) 25. ágúst 2018 kl. 12:29 (UTC)
Also, use and check the Talk pages for each article. It makes everything easier. --Óli Gneisti - lágmenningarfræðingur (spjall) 25. ágúst 2018 kl. 12:16 (UTC)
Also write in grammatically correct icelandic. Berserkur (spjall) 25. ágúst 2018 kl. 12:20 (UTC)
