I found (via Goggle) 1890 pages containing ''"Forseti Venesúela"'', but just 3 containing ''"Forseti Venesúelu"'' (of witch this article is one). :A Google test is not reliable. Icelandic is an inflected language. Feminine words that end in -a tend to end in -u in the oblique cases. Venesúela is not an exception, it is declined exactly like Kólumbía, Argentína, Brasilía etc., all of which end in -u in the oblique cases. If Venesúela did end in -a in the genitive, then it would also end in -a in the other oblique cases; you would then have to say that for some reason Venesúela, unlike the names of the other countries I just mentioned, just isn't declined at all in Icelandic since it would look the same in all the cases.
