I think "Sorg" means Sorrow, and "Hús" means House, so the meaning of "Sorghús" is House of Sorrow. [[Notandi:Abu Amal Bahraini|Abu Amal Bahraini]] 28. apríl 2010 kl. 19:20 (UTC) |

The translation ''sorghús'' sounds strange, and is probably never used in the Icelandic language. But, the word ''sorgarhús'' can be found in the Bible (Ecclesiastes), so that word has already a meaning in Icelandic. Unfortunately, we therfore cannot use that word for another meaning. Hvaða heimildir eru fyrir þessu orði? - Orðið sogarghús kemur fyrir í Predikaranum, en ef ekki finnast heimildir fyrir þessari notkun verður greininni eytt! Thvj 28. apríl 2010 kl. 19:06 (UTC)
