  • Zeichnung (ganzseitig), ungerahmt, Feder & koloriert, Wasserfarbe & Deckfarbe
  • Kaiser Otto IV., der sich in Begleitung zweier Höflinge befindet, und Papst Innozenz III., der in Begleitung eines Kardinals unter einem Stadttor steht, reichen sich beide Hände. Die Darstellung des Vordergrundes dürfte sich somit auf den Romzug Ottos IV. 1209 beziehen. Im Hintergrund nähert sich aber bereits ein Schiff mit den Truppen Friedrichs II., der erst 1212 gegen Otto IV. aufbrach. Die Hände des Papstes und der Bildmittelgrund blieben unvollendet.
